What would you like to be remembered for?
I would like to be remembered as a good person. I want everyone to know who I really am and like me for it. I want to be remembered as a person that used their platform for good. Since I want to be a singer, I am going to have a HUGE platform and hopefully an impact on people. This means that people would most likely listen to me and take my words into consideration. I want to spread the word about the injustices minorities face on a daily basis, rather than post a black screen, say black lives matter and continue on with my life as if I did something. I am going to speak about these matters and demand change. I am not going to treat these topics as if they were trends… Just because the hashtag is trending doesn't mean I am going to use it, I would have been using it all year round. I am going to promote diversity and equality for everyone, especially in my music videos. I also want to help get rid of unreal stereotypes about the black, hispanic, asian, female, and LGBTQ+ community, because those stereotypes hurt and people should not have to live with that. I want to be remembered for the great things I did not only as an artist but also as a citizen of Panama and the United States. I feel that it is my duty to help people understand that the words that they say have meaning and sometimes they don’t know it but they can be affecting someone's mental health. I want to educate people on the true meaning of the n-word, and why they shouldn't use it even if it is said in a song. I have noticed that some people don’t even know what it means, so it's not that they are being ignorant on purpose they were just never taught. We as people that know the actual right from wrong have the responsibility of educating those who don’t know about these topics. To conclude, I want to be remembered as a person that connects with everyone and has helped you understand something, it could be as little as understanding your emotions, or as big as why cultural appropriation is a thing and that most of the time we don’t know when we do it.
